Bill Belichick Won’t Be Adding ‘Trump Military Adviser’ to His Resume

Fibo Quantum

  • New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is not getting any younger. He will eventually move on from the Patriots and football.
  • It’s not unheard of for a football coach to get into politics, and Belichick has ties to Donald Trump.
  • If Trump was serious about using him as a military adviser, would Belichick do it?

It will sound crazy to fans of the New England Patriots, but eventually, head coach Bill Belichick will move on. That could mean he retires or moves onto a different job.

But if he wanted to, it sounds like Donald Trump would be open to giving him a shot at something new—military adviser.

Trump Has Another Crazy Idea

During a recent interview, Trump made a surprising comment about Bill Belichick and battle plans:

You know, if I ever had a military battle, I’d call up Belichick and say what do you think? What do you think? Give me a couple of ideas.

Trump went on to say that Belichick would be “as good as any general out there.” The comment could not have gone over too well with the actual generals, of course.

It’s a ridiculous notion.

However, with the kind of turnover Trump has had amongst his senior advisors, Trump might not be kidding. Most qualified people don’t want to work for him. Those that do either anger Trump and get fired or grow tired of him and quit.

He could do a lot worse than tapping into the mind of an evil genius like Bill Belichick.

General Bill Belichick? Nah—But Admiral…

If Bill Belichick were to move on from football, advisor to the President of the United States would not be a bad gig. He is a brilliant tactician, the kind of guy who’s five moves into a chess game while everyone else is still setting up the checkerboard.

Maybe he could do it, and perhaps Trump would hire him on as an advisor. After all, Belichick is, or at least was, a supporter. His letter of support was something Trump was more than happy to talk about during his first campaign.

As could be expected, Belichick was asked about Trump’s comments during a recent interview:

Was Trump serious when he said he’d call Belichick for military advice? Probably not—or at least we can hope he would not.

But thankfully, Belichick is going to stick to what he does best.
