Bitcoin (BTC) and the rest of the altcoin market finally managed to recover from the recent price slumps seen in the past week. Most major altcoins are finally back in the green zone, recording gains from 2% to 11% in the past 24 hours.

The total market capitalization of all cryptos has increased from $266 billion to $278 billion as of July 25.

Latest Ethereum (ETH) news and prices

Ethereum, a popular coin on the blockchain network in the second largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin in terms of Market Capitalization. For Ethereum, bulls are getting back though the bears are still going around. It looks like the medium-term outlook will be bullish for the coin as it has been slowly and steadily rising on the price momentum though bears are still largely visible, as seen from the 5-day price chart where the ETH price was in the range of $202 – $234.

Latest Ripple (XRP) news and prices

Ripple’s XRP hit the recent low at $0.2834 on July 16. The recovery that followed took the price of the third-largest coin marginally above $0.3400, however, the upside proved to be unsustainable. The downside correction took the price towards the critical $0.3000 where new buyers popped in and helped to initiate a recovery. At the time of writing, ETH/USD is changing hands at $0.3182, up 4% on a day-on-day basis and mostly unchanged since the beginning of Thursday.

Litecoin (LTC) news and prices

Litecoin (LTC) has regained ground above $90.00 handle and touched an intraday high at $96.77. At the time of writing, the fourth-largest digital asset with the current market capitalization of $5.9 billion is trading at $94.10, gaining over 7% on a day-on-day basis. LTC/USD is moving in lockstep with the recovery on the cryptocurrency market.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) news and prices

Bitcoin Cash ABC rose by 2.39% on Wednesday. Partially reversing a 3.12% fall from Tuesday, Bitcoin Cash ABC ended the day at $303.22.

A bearish start to the day saw Bitcoin Cash ABC fall to an early intraday low $283. Bitcoin Cash ABC fell through the first major support level at $288.6 before making its move.

Finding support from the broader market, Bitcoin Cash ABC rallied to an early afternoon intraday high $306. Falling short of the first major resistance level at $311.4, Bitcoin Cash ABC slipped back to sub-$300 levels.

Binance Coin (BNB) price was in a bearish trend yesterday July 24. The bears broke the 12 and 26-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) as BNB price tests or break the lower price range. Both EMAs are sloping horizontally to indicate that Binance Coin price is in a sideways trend while trading between the levels of $30 and $40.

Tether (USDT) news and prices

iFinex is going on trial on Monday, 29th July in New York.

The Office of the Attorney General of New York (OAG) AND iFinex have been locked in a legal battle since April, with the OAG claimed that Tether, a stablecoin owned by iFinex, made a $700 million loan to cover embezzlement.

Since then, there have been allegations, complexities and heated communication, with a further trial scheduled next Monday to ascertain whether the Prosecutor’s Office has the jurisdiction to open an investigation on iFinex. This is due to the fact that the firm is based on the British Virgin Islands, and has allegedly not accepted US clients since 2018.

Bitcoin SV (BSV) news and prices

Bitcoin SV (BSV) successfully increased its block size limit today amid confusion regarding the scheduled fork time. 

According to a BitMEX Research tweet on July 24, Bitcoin SV was expected to fork at 2 p.m. UTC today, but the website of the BSV-promoting Bitcoin Association claimed that the upgrade was scheduled for 1 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. UTC). The reason why the exchange’s research arm expected the fork to happen on 2 p.m. UTC is that the code of the network upgrade itself defined the fork time to be at that time.
